FAQs

What will I receive as part of the WG Storage & Delivery franchise system?

We will provide you and your general manager/project coordinator with approximately 7 days  of pre-opening training at our corporate training center; this training will cover important areas for running your WG Storage & Delivery business including operating procedures, sales and marketing tactics, record keeping, documentation, job safety, and more. We will also provide you with additional assistance around the time of your business’ grand opening and will work with you and your staff onsite on initial policies and procedures. As a franchise owner, you will have access to all WG Storage & Delivery’s trademarks, plus our exclusive business model, procedures and preferred vendors. We’ll also present you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business properly on a day-to-day basis.

What type of prior experience do I need to have?

WG Storage & Delivery franchise owners are not required to have prior direct experience in a similar business or field; we will provide the training and tools needed to run the business effectively. While your focus as franchise owner will most likely be on providing sales and service to high-end clients, rather than the actual physical activities related to storage and relocation, we also expect that involved franchise owners will be able to roll up their sleeves and help out, as needed. We are, however, actively seeking educated, professional candidates who have solid staff and client management skills, an appreciation for premium services, and who, of course, have adequate capital to invest in the business.

How much will the WG Storage & Delivery franchise investment cost me?

The projected initial investment range for a single start-up location is between $101,400 and $310,800 (this range is primarily due to the difference between leasing and purchasing the required service vehicles); this investment amount includes a franchise fee of $45,000. As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business.  We require candidates to have $75,000 in liquidity and a net worth of at least $350,000.

Are there other ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?

Franchisees will be required to pay royalties at a rate of 8% of gross revenues. These royalties allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of services and procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.

Are there any advertising fees?

Franchisees will be required to spend the greater of $1,000 or 2% of gross revenues monthly on local marketing but, currently franchisees do not contribute to a corporate marketing fund. We believe that these funds should be spent at a local level with assistance from our marketing support team.

Is financing available?

We do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending resources, on a case-by-case basis.

What is the term of the franchise agreement?

The initial term of your franchise agreement is ten years, with two subsequent renewal terms of five years each.
